1. About SpeakPress

SpeakPress is a WordPress text-to-speech and audio plugin that allows website owners to add playable voice content to WordPress pages, posts, podcast-related content, and supported custom post types.

SpeakPress may provide:

• Free browser or device-based text-to-speech features.
• The ability to upload or select your own audio files from the WordPress Media Library.
• Paid or premium features that allow you to connect third-party text-to-speech providers and generate voiceovers from within WordPress.
• Storage of supported generated audio files in your WordPress Media Library.

2. Free and Paid Versions

SpeakPress may be offered in both free and paid versions.

The free version may include features such as device or browser voices, the SpeakPress player, Gutenberg integration, and the ability to use audio files you already own or generate elsewhere.

The paid version, SpeakPress Pro, may unlock additional functionality such as third-party AI voice generation, premium integrations, advanced controls, and other features described on the product or checkout page at the time of purchase.

Features may evolve over time. We may add, modify, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, compatibility, third-party API changes, or continued product development.

3. Purchases, Billing, and Freemius

SpeakPress paid licenses are sold and managed through Freemius.

Freemius acts as the merchant of record for applicable transactions and may handle checkout, payment processing, taxes, invoices, subscription management, license management, refunds, and chargebacks in accordance with its own terms and policies.

If you purchase a recurring SpeakPress subscription, it may automatically renew according to the billing cycle and terms shown to you at checkout unless you cancel before the renewal date. Subscription and license management may be available through the Freemius customer portal.

Any refund rights are subject to the refund policy presented for SpeakPress at the time of purchase, applicable consumer law, and the applicable Freemius checkout or transaction terms.
